Demographers say that, since I was born in 1966, I am part of Generation X. How exciting. Being 55, however, is exciting – I am finally able to start planning my exit from the “9 to 5” grind! Yee haw!
I intend for my journey out of the 9 to 5 world and into the retirement world to be the main focus of this website. I will, for the most part, stay away from politics or any of the other more-heated topics of the day. In return, I hope to be as open with my experiences as possible, good and bad – It’s always been a belief of mine to be open about my mistakes so others wont repeat them.
I would like to primarily focus on the finances of my upcoming retirement – I’m retiring young, so how will I support myself. Hand in hand with that, what do I plan on doing with my time – What plans do I have, and what are the costs involved. And along the way I may share some of the more entertaining experiences of my life.
